Hyderabad, July 25 (PTI)BJP on Thursdayurged the Telangana government to set up Ayurvedic and other alternative medicine system hospitals in every district headquarters in the state, making use of Central funds meant for the purpose.
A BJP delegation led by senior leader and former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya made the demand in a memorandum submitted to Health Minister E Rajender.
It is not out of place to mention at this juncture that the Central Government is providing impetus for the development of alternate medical facilities such as Ayurvedic hospitals and providing necessary funds in the state, it said.
The delegation also urged the minister not to shift the Ayurvedic hospital at Charminar to Erragadda in the city.
Shifting or clubbing of the Ayurvedic Hospital of Charminar with Hospital at Erragadda would not help the people except depriving the needy and poor of the area of the services offered by the facility, the memoraundum said. PTI
