New Delhi, Sep 28 (PTI) FMCG major HUL Friday said the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has sanctioned a scheme of arrangement related to transfer of certain amount to the company's 'Profit and Loss Account'.
"We wish to inform you that the NCLT, Mumbai Bench, vide its order August 30, 2018, has sanctioned the aforesaid Scheme of Arrangement," HUL said in a regulatory filing.
The scheme of arrangement provides that upon coming into effect, the entire amount of Rs 2,187.33 crore standing to the credit of the general reserve of HUL shall be credited to profit and loss account of the company.

Realty major DLF's CEO Rajeev Talwar Friday took over as the new president of industry body PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He is a post graduate and graduate from St Stephens College, Delhi University. He started his career in 1976 as a banker with State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer and was subsequently selected for the Indian Administrative Service in 1978.
"During his tenure as an IAS officer from 1978 to 2006, Talwar held many important and critical positions in the Central and state governments as well as Union Territories," PHD Chamber said in a statement.
Talwar is also the Chairman of the National Real Estate Development Council. He is also the Vice Chairman of World Tourism & Travel Council, India Initiative and will take over as the chairman of the council in December 2018. PTI RSN
