Dantewada, Jul 8 (PTI) Four people were injured Monday after a pressure bomb explosion overturned their vehicle in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said.

The pressure bomb, planted by ultras to target security forces near a culvert off Chikpal village, went off in afternoon under Katekalyan police station area, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava told PTI.

"When the goods carrier vehicle reached near a culvert on a dug-up road, it came into contact with a pressurised improvised explosive device (IED) triggering the blast," he said, adding that the vehicle turned belly up as the explosion ripped its tyres.

Pallava said all the four occupants, including the driver, sustained minor injuries.

They were rushed to hospital in Kateklayan, he said, adding that all of them are out of danger.

Maoists had planted the IED to target patrolling teams of security forces in the area, the SP added.
