Ghaziabad, Aug 23 (PTI) Two builders have been arrested for illegal construction of a five-storey building which collapsed here last month, police said today.

Two persons were killed and several others injured after the under-construction building located in Akash Nagar area of Masuri police station limits collapsed on July 22.

"Errant builders Kishan Pal Tomar and Mukesh Singh have been arrested," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Krishna told reporters here.

The two were absconding since the incident occurred, he said, adding the land owner, Dinesh Kumar, is still at large but will be nabbed soon.
