Nashik, Jul 21 (PTI) The number of COVID-19 cases crossed the 10000-mark in Nashik district on Tuesday, while the death toll touched 412, an official said.

Over the last 48 hours, 573 people were detected with COVID-19 while 22 people lost their lives due to the infection during the same period, he added.

"Nashik district now has 10,064 cases, of which Nashik city accounts for 6,109 and Malegaon 1,204. The number of persons discharged so far is 6,970. Of these, 4,285 are from Nashik municipal limits and 1,042 from Malegaon. Till date, 36,362 swab samples have been tested," he said.
