New Delhi, Jul 22 (PTI) A man was arrested for allegedly trying to snatch a Delhi Police constable's pistol in outer Delhi's Shahbad Dairy, police said on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as Lalit Paswan, they said.
In a video of the incident, the man could be seen indulging in a quarrel with the policeman while trying to take away his service pistol.
The incident took place around 1 pm on July 18 when Constable Kalicharan was patrolling on a motorcycle in the JJ Cluster area of Shahbad Dairy. He spotted four-five men sitting on a vacant land near Panch Mandir, police said.

By the time Constable Yogesh arrived there, the suspects fled the spot. However, one of them, who was later identified as Lalit Paswan, engaged in a quarrel with Kalicharan and obstructed him to discharge his duty, police said.
Paswan, who appeared to be in an inebriated state, also threatened the constable that he would harm himself and for it, he attempted to take away his service pistol, they said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) said a case was registered and the accused arrested.
