Chennai, Aug 7 (PTI) Leaders of various political parties in Tamil Nadu, including AIADMK and PMK, today condoled the death of DMK president M Karunanidhi.

AIADMK joint coordinator and Chief Minister K Palaniswami and party coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, in a party statement, said that Karunanidhi, hailing from Tirukuvalai in Nagapattinam district, overcame many challenges through hard work and elevated himself as a well-known leader.

"We pray to God to give his family members enough strength to bear this loss. On behalf of the AIADMK, we extend our condolences to the bereaved family members", they said.

PMK leader S Ramadoss, his son Anbumani, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam leader and sitting MLA T T V Dhinakaran, CPI(M) State secretary K Gopalakrishnan and CPI state secretary R Mutharasan also expressed their condolences. PTI
