Nainital (Uttarakhand) Feb 26 (ANI): In an unprecedented move, the Uttrakhand High Court issued a showcause notice to former Bihar Chief Justice and Central Administration Tribunal (CAT) chairman Narsimhan Reddy in connection with a contempt plea filed against him.The notice was issued to Reddy by a single judge bench of the court presided by Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma recently in a contempt plea filed against him by IFS officer and Ramon Magsaysay awardee Sanjeev Chaturvedi.The court has given four weeks time to Reddy to show that why the proceedings should not be drawn against him. The court has now slated the matter for hearing on March 20.It is important to note that the development comes at time when a tussle is on between the IFS officer and the over the discrepancies appraisal report of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in the year 2015-16.The matter was before a bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal in Nainital. The Centre had sought for the transfer of matter to Delhi, to which, Reddy, who is the chairman of CAT, had put a stay. (ANI)
