Sometimes we really wish that Bollywood film-makers reveal everything in the trailers and spoil the big surprises for us. They need to learn that less is more. Remember the golden age when Salman Khan surprised the hell out of us with his extended cameo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? Or Akshay Kumar landing much early in Shah Rukh Khan's Dil Toh Pagal Hai? Or the many cameos in Om Shanti Om? Or even the many Abhishek Bachchan cameos in films like Salaam Namaste, Hum Tum etc.? That was some era! 2.0: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Have a Cameo in the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar Starrer But There's a Twist.

But now the film-makers seem less confident of their lead stars and wants to harp in on A-lister cameos to boost the film. Recently the first trailer of Ranveer Singh's Simmba had no qualms of showing off Ajay Devgn's cameo. While it has been the best highlight of the whole trailer, it sure takes away the spotlight from the leading man, who is attempting such kind of a role for the first time. Just imagine what would have happened if the viewers were oblivious of Devgn's cameo and had watched the scene only in theatre. Cue...thunderous applause! Simmba Trailer: Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Cop Film Gives Off Major Singham Blues, With a Spoilerish Ajay Devgn Cameo Thrown In Too - Watch Video.

And Simmba is not the only to ruin cameos for us during the trailers itself. Here are some more party-poopers!

Salman Khan in Zero

While we already knew that Zero has a host of celeb cameos, including Salman, why not wait for the release to savour them? Instead, the makers released a special teaser during Eid that focussed on Salman- SRK bromance.

Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Rekha in Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se

Salman Khan appeared at the fag-end of another trailer this year, the Deols' Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. Joining him there are Rekha and Sonakshi Sinha too! We also like to have a special mention for Welcome to New York that too had a lot of celeb cameos put in the trailers.

Shah Rukh Khan in Tubelight

Though it was just a glimpse, the makers of Tubelight couldn't resist showing of Shah Rukh Khan. It was easy to spot him since the promotions for the film had heavily depended on the cameo shoot.

So Many Cameos in Luck By Chance

The first couple of trailers for Zoya Akhtar's debut film did nothing to ruin cameos for us (save for Hrithik Roshan's part, which was more of a supporting role). Then they release a special promo that showed off nearly every big Bollywood A-lister cameo, right from Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan to Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor.

Shah Rukh Khan in Bhootnath

Shah Rukh Khan had an extended cameo in this Amitabh Bachchan-supernatural comedy, a fact that the makers couldn't resist in hiding!

Amitabh Bachchan and Suneil Shetty in Paheli

I can see a trend here now! This time Amitabh Bachchan had a cameo in the climax of the film where Shah Rukh Khan played a ghost. Something SRK couldn't resist showing off the in the trailer. Even Suneil Shetty's bling and you miss appearance in the movie was also included in the trailer.
