Game of Thrones Season 8 opened up with a bang with its TRP touching the sky. The last season will finally reveal the ruler of the seven kingdoms and how Night King's army is defeated at Winterfell (if it does). With Daenerys Targaryen's army joining Jon Snow and Jamie Lannister extending his support to them, things are slightly turning against Cersei Lannister. However, Jamie's eerie encounter with Bran Stark in the first episode of this new season compels him to alter his mission and that could be an interesting point to note. Game of Thrones Season 8: Daenerys Targaryen May Sit on the Iron Throne - Here's Why.

In Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's recent interaction with Entertainment Weekly, he explains how the cold stare shared between him and Bran changes the equation for him completely. "His mission changes once again. It goes from: ‘I know my brother Tyrion is there and I’m going to fight the good fight’ to ‘I’m in deep sh** now.’ Because this is the Lord of Winterfell that I tried to kill and I’m sure he wants revenge. That’s what Jaime expects," he said. Game of Thrones 8: Arya Stark-Gendry, Cersei Lannister-Euron Greyjoy – 5 Likely Romances We May Get to Watch in the Final Season.

The ones who are aware of their history know that Jamie is responsible for crippling Bran. It started with the first episode of season 1 where Bran sees Jamie and his sister Cersei having sex. The couple then fearing Robert Baratheon, try to put him down forever. Though Jamie is aware that Bran is still alive, he's shocked to see him on a wheelchair in this new episode. Now, will things take an ugly turn for him since he is also responsible for the death of Daenerys' father, the Mad King? We don't know and we'll wait for the makers to answer that.
