‘I Love Her’: Man Arrested in Ujjain After CCTV Catches Him Stealing Woman’s Innerwear, Tattoos Her Name on Chest

A 25 year old man was arrested in Ujjain after CCTV footage allegedly captured him stealing a woman’s innerwear from a clothesline outside her house. Police said the accused, who lives in the same neighbourhood, claimed he was in one sided love with the woman and had even tattooed her name on his chest.

Ujjain, March 13: In a bizarre incident in Madhya Pradesh, police arrested a 25 year old man in Ujjain after he was caught on CCTV stealing a woman’s innerwear from a clothesline outside her house. The incident occurred in the Chimanganj Mandi police station area of Indore.

According to police, the accused, identified as Amit Malviya, lives in the same neighbourhood as the complainant. The woman approached police after noticing that her innerwear had gone missing from the clothesline outside her home.

Suspecting theft, the family checked CCTV footage installed near their residence. The video reportedly captured him picking only the woman’s innerwear, slipping it into the pocket of his denim trousers, and quietly leaving the spot while ignoring the other clothes hanging nearby.

Police soon traced the accused to the same colony where the complainant lives and arrested him. Chimanganj Mandi police station in charge Gajendra Pachauri said during questioning the accused claimed he was in one sided love with the woman.

“He told us he had feelings for the woman and had even got her name tattooed on his chest,” Pachauri said.

Police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and further investigation is underway.
