At LatestLY Fact Check, we are committed to the highest standards of accuracy, fairness and transparency. While we strive to ensure that all information published on our platform is thoroughly verified and evidence-based, we acknowledge that mistakes can occasionally occur. In such cases, we believe in correcting errors promptly, clearly and transparently.

1. Types of Corrections

  • Factual Error: Any inaccuracy in data, names, dates, quotes or attribution.
  • Editorial Error: Mistakes in grammar, formatting or headline that may affect interpretation.
  •
  • Update: When new information becomes available after publication that does not alter the original verdict but adds context or clarity.
  • Rating Revisions: If further verification alters the outcome of the fact-check, the verdict label is updated accordingly with a clear note.

2. How We Handle Corrections

  • If a correction is made, it is clearly noted at the bottom of the article with a timestamp and description of the change.
  • In case of a significant correction (e.g., incorrect verdict or misattributed quote), the article is updated and republished and a correction note is added at the top and bottom.
  • Minor corrections that do not affect the accuracy of the fact-check’s conclusion (e.g., typos) may be silently corrected.
  • We display published date and last edit date to maintain transparency.

3. Reader Feedback and Corrections

We value reader input. If you believe an article on LatestLY Fact Check contains an error or requires clarification:

  • Email us at contact@latestly.com with the subject line “Correction Request.”
  • Include the article URL, the specific issue, and supporting evidence if possible.

All correction requests are reviewed by our editorial team. If found valid, appropriate action is taken in line with our policy.

4. Accountability and Transparency

  • We do not delete fact-checks except in rare and justified cases (e.g., legal compliance or duplicate publication), and such actions are noted transparently.
  • We maintain a record of corrections for internal review to improve processes and minimise recurrence of errors.
  •

LatestLY Fact Check believes that admitting and correcting mistakes strengthens credibility and builds trust with readers. Accountability is not an obligation, it is a responsibility we take seriously.
