Martyr Major Akshay Girish Kumar's Daughter Praises Indian Army in This Heart-Felt Video

Bengaluru, February 11: In a heartwarming video, Indian Army Major Akshay Girish Kumar’s daughter talks about the importance of Army in every Indian’s life. In the 51-second video shared by Major Girish’s mother Meghna Girish, Naina can be heard praising the Army. “Army is to make us love. Army is to fight with bad uncles. The video which is doing rounds on social media is shot by martyr’s wife Sangeeta. In the video, When Sangeeta asked her daughter about who taught her all those things, Naina replied that her dad taught her everything when they were living in an old house. The video ends with Naina saying “Jai Hind”. After the video went viral netizens wished the martyr’s daughter good luck for her future. Major Akshay Girish Kumar was martyred in Nagrota terror attack on November 30, 2016, after terrorists disguised in police uniforms, attacked an army unit three kilometres away from the corps headquarters. Major Girish was an officer in the 51 Engineer Regiment of Bengal Sappers since 2003. He is survived by his wife Sangeeta and daughter Naina. His father retired as a Wing Commander while his grandfather retired as a Colonel from the Indian Army.
