Karimganj (Assam) [India], September 16 (ANI): Assam Police on Friday seized 40,000 Yaba tablets and arrested two drug peddlers in Karimganj district.
Based on secret information, Karimganj district police on Thursday night intercepted a vehicle in the Badarpur area.

Superintendent of Police Karimganj district Partha Pratim Das said, "We received information that, a vehicle carrying narcotics substance was coming from Mizoram side. Accordingly, we intercepted the vehicle. During a search, we recovered 40,000 Yaba tablets from a secret chamber of the vehicle. We have arrested two persons namely Kamrul Islam and Sanjay Suklabaidya."
He further said that the arrested persons had planned to deliver the seized drugs to Guwahati.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection with this and further police investigation is on. (ANI)
