Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 25 (ANI): As India entered an elite club of nations with Chandrayaan-3’s successful lunar landing mission on Wednesday, Dhar Collector Priyank Mishra has taken a step to make the moment memorable and unforgettable.

The collector wrote a letter to Dhar Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) in which it was said to name a square in the city after Chandrayaan-3.

A copy of the letter written on Wednesday read, “Today, India’s "Chandrayaan-3" made a successful landing on the moon. We all countrymen salute ISRO. In order to keep this great achievement in the memory forever, a square in Dhar city should be named Chandrayaan and a memorial symbol of "Chandrayaan-3" should also be established at the crossroads.”

“I hope that the Dhar Nagar Palika will set an example for the entire country by taking a very quick decision in this direction,” the letter added.

After that a meeting was organised by the Nagar Palika CMO for the same, in which a proposal was passed by the Council to name Bhoj Hospital square in the city as Chandrayaan.

Nagar Palika CMO, Nishikant Shukla said, “In order to make the success of Chandrayaan-3 memorable, Collector Priyanka Mishra wrote a letter and asked to name one of the squares in the city named after Chandrayaan. The crossroads in front of Bhoj Hospital located on Mandav Road in Dhar city has been renamed as Chandrayaan Square by the council.”

Further, its development outline will also be prepared, he added. (ANI)
