Budaun (UP), Jul 10 (PTI) A 19-year-old girl died and three got injured after the dilapidated roof of a house in Pathantola locality of Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district collapsed on Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred amidst heavy rainfall in the area, they said.

Arshad's wife Shakeela, daughter Moni, and son Aarish were sleeping in a room, along with Sabina (19), daughter of Arshad's brother Ashraf, who was visiting. Suddenly, a portion of the roof collapsed, trapping all four under the debris, they said.

"All four individuals were pulled from the rubble and taken to the hospital, where Sabina was declared dead," said Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Prempal Singh.

Police and the revenue team have initiated an investigation into the matter to determine the cause of the accident, said Singh.
