Budaun (UP), Jul 10 (PTI) Four people were killed and one was injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the Badaun-Moradabad road here on Thursday, police said.
According to police, three of the five victims were travelling on one motorcycle, and two others were travelling on another motorcycle.
"Due to dense bushes and a turn on both sides, the riders likely could not see the oncoming vehicles, resulting in a forceful collision," Senior Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Singh said.
The victims were rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared three of them -- Sompal Meena (52), Atar Singh Meena (43), Bachchu Singh (57), and Sanjay Meena (26) -- dead. Ashok Meena (37) was seriously injured and referred to the Budaun District Hospital, Singh said.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway, Singh added.
