Noida, Jul 10 (PTI) As many as 12 miscreants have been arrested in separate encounters by Noida Police in the past 48 hours, officials said on Thursday.

During these encounters, six of them were injured in the encounters and have been admitted to hospitals, they added.

Police said that they have recovered a car, bike, pistol, cartridges, cash and other items from the miscreants.

Giving details about the arrests, police said that Dankaur police station apprehended two alleged criminals, Pankaj and Satbir, during an encounter on Thursday morning. Multiple cases of robbery, murder and theft are registered against them, they said.

Similarly, a team from Sector 39 police station arrested Sumit alias Billa after an encounter late on Wednesday night. Billa sustained a bullet injury in his leg in the encounter.

There were four other miscreants — Praveen alias Shooter, Kovid, Anupam alias Chikna and Shahnawaz alias Nannu — with him who tried to flee from the spot during the encounter. However, police were able to nab them after a chase.

On the same night, personnel from Sector 20 police station arrested 34-year-old Ashraf alias Ajay, from Mainpuri, after an encounter. He, too, was injured in the encounter. Ashraf's two accomplices, Arif and Salman alias Asif, from Etah, were also caught during the encounter.

At around 2 pm on Wednesday, Ravi, a Delhi resident from Mayur Vihar, was caught by the Sector-24 police station team. Ravi sustained a bullet wound in his leg during the encounter.

The police said that another encounter took place in the Sector-49 police station area at around 11 pm on Tuesday night.

Sushil Kumar alias Tera was injured in the encounter with the police after being shot in the leg.
