New Delhi, Mar 15 (PTI) Two men, including a Nigerian national, were arrested in separate incidents for allegedly supplying drugs in the city, police said Friday.

The accused have been identified as Micheal EmecoOkora, 40, a native of Nigeria and Mohammad Irfan, 35, a resident of Vijay Enclave Delhi, they said.

In the first case, police arrested EmecoOkora Thursday from near Palam-Dabri Road.

Total 230 g of heroin was recovered from his possession.

In another case, police arrested Irfan on Thursday from Dwarkapuri after getting a tip-off and seized 59 kg of gaanja worth Rs 6 lakh, police said. PTI NIT ********************** Man arrested for attacking constable

New Delhi, Mar 15 (PTI) A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a Delhi Police constable last year while he was on duty at Dwarka Sector-3, officials said Friday.

The accused has been identified as Sahid Ali, a resident of Sanjay Camp, Chanakya Puri. He was previously involved in 30 cases, they said.

According to a senior police officer, police got a tip-off and arrested Ali from Dwarka area.

During interrogation, it was revealed that on April 2 last year, the constable was patrolling in Dwarka Sector-3. During patrolling, he noticed some persons trying to break the grill.

The constable intervened in the matter. Ali, along with his five associates, attacked him and fled. They also tried to snatch his revolver.

Ali's accomplices were already arrested, police said. PTI NIT

Two nabbed in Dwarka

New Delhi, Mar 15 (PTI) Two bouncers-turned-robbers were arrested from Dwarka's Sector-3 area, police said Friday.

The accused have been identified as Satender Kumar (22) and Waseem (30), they said.

Police received information Thursday that two persons with illegal arms were present in Dwarka area who were involved in the recent snatching cases.

A trap was laid near Matiala village, Sector-3, Dwarka and both the accused were apprehended, a senior police officers said.

Five mobile phones, a motorcycle and some illegal arms were recovered from their possession, police said. PTI NIT

*********************** 'Mama-Bhanja' gang held for stealing cars

New Delhi, Mar 15 (PTI) Two suspected members of 'Mama-Bhanja' gang were arrested for allegedly stealing cars at gunpoint and smuggling liquor, police said Friday.

The accused have been identified as Kuldeep (37) and Bansi Kumar (19), they said.

On January 2, police received information, where a complainant stated that three unknown men robbed his car at gunpoint at Palam Village area, a senior police officer said.

An incident of car jacking was also reported in Delhi Cantt area where an Innova was robbed by three unknown persons with same modus operandi, police said.

During investigation, Kumar was arrested. On his instance, his maternal uncle Kuldeep was also arrested, police said, adding that one car was recovered from their possession.
