Rajkot, Sep 26 (PTI) Police have arrested three alleged drug dealers with 2,100 kg of ganja in Anand district of Gujarat, officials said Wednesday.

Those arrested are suppliers of the contraband to one Madina Junaja of Rajkot city, who was arrested with 357.5 kg of ganja on September 12, they said.

"Upon interrogation of Madina and others arrested with ganja in the city on September 12, the police came to know about suppliers," an official release said.

"On the basis of this information, a Rajkot police team today raided two houses in Dali village near Anand in Central Gujarat.

"Police did not find any thing from one house, but during the search of another house, ganja was found wrapped in sarees. The total ganja recovered in the raid is around 2,100 kg," Rajkot police commissioner Manoj Agarwal said.

"We have arrested three persons - Vijay Kulpati, Rajbha Zala and Mukeshgiri Goswami - in connection with recovered materials. Kulpati had hired the two houses in the village to hide the contraband," he said.

The cannabis was bought from outside Gujarat, Agarwal said.

"The contraband was procured by Kulpati and Zala from Assam and Andhra Pradesh," he said.

Police said the trio had supplied 357.5 kg ganja to Madina in Rajkot.
