New Delhi, October 1: A 38-year-old man was shot to death by unknown miscreants in Delhi's Taimoor Nagar area last evening. This has triggered protests in the area. The victim identified as Rupesh was allegedly killed in firing by two unknown men, who were passing by his house. Rupesh's family claimed that he had opposed the sale of drugs in the area and that is why he was attacked. Locals have alleged that the drug gang found out about the complainant's identity from the police, which led to widespread protest. A CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral, and it shows two men walking up to Rupesh on a busy street, and shooting him in the chest before walking off.

Locals resorted to stone-pelting and ruckus, which forced police to use lathi-charge and aerial firing to control the crowd. A few people were also injured in the firing,
