A viral video has led to the suspension of six nurses at Maharishi Balark Hospital in┬аBahraich, Uttar Pradesh, after they were seen playing with a baby monkey while on duty. The nurses, identified as Anjali, Kiran Singh, Aanchal Shukla, Priya Richard, Poonam Pandey, and Sandhya Singh, were filmed wearing aprons and sitting on hospital chairs. Reportedly, Dr M M Tripathi, Chief Medical Superintendent of Maharishi Balark Hospital, confirmed that the nurses assigned to the gynaecology and obstetrics department were suspended on July 5, emphasising that their actions tarnished the hospital's image. Sanjay Khatri, Principal of Maharaja Suheldev Autonomous State Medical College, noted that a five-member committee is investigating the incident.
