In a candid conversation with Vogue Singapore, the Fighter actress revealed her plans to start her own family with Ranveer. When asked if becoming a mother ‘is something she looks forward to then’, Deepika stated, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.” The actress also discussed how she and Ranveer Singh 'hope to inculcate in their children the same values that her parents imparted to her during her upbringing. Deepika was further quoted as saying, “In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first.
