Richa Ghosh seals the win for RCB with a six! The defending champions have shown why they are the title holders with a splendid performance and they now have registered the highest successful run-chase in WPL history! What a show by Smriti Mandhana and co against Gujarat Giants in the first match of WPL 2025! They looked down and out in the first few overs of the run chase after losing two wickets but Ellyse Perry kept them in the chase with a magnificent half-century. After her departure, it was Richa Ghosh who took over the mantle of big-hitting and ensured that RCB got past the finish line with ease in the end. Kanika Ahuja also scored a handy 30 runs and ensured that the defending champions won the first match of WPL 2025. Gujarat Giants have their fielding to blame as they dropped a number of catches, including that of Richa Ghosh.
