Gujarat Giants have beaten UP Warriorz! The hosts register their first victory of the tournament and it has come on the back of a solid batting performance, as they chased down a 144-run target against UP Warriorz. Deepti Sharma and her team just did not have much runs on the board with them scoring just 143, that too coming because of a late flourish from Saima Thakor and Alana King. Defending the small target, UP Warriorz took two early wickets but Ashleigh Gardner continued her fine form as she struck her second consecutive half-century, finishing with 52 off 32 deliveries, hitting five fours and three sixes. Deandra Dottin also starred with 33 runs off just 18 deliveries. Earlier, it was Priya Mishra who led a stellar bowling effort, taking three wickets which included the ones of Tahlia McGrath, Grace Harris and UP Warriorz captain Deepti Sharma.
