IND-W Win by 8 Wickets | India Women vs Bangladesh Women ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 Highlights: Gongadi Trisha and Vaishnavi Sharma Shine as India Women's U19 Side Reaches Semi Final of Competition

Elected to bowl first India Women's U19 side picked wickets very early in the innings putting pressure on the opposition. Bangladesh captain Sumaiya Akhter led her side to a respectable 64 runs total. Vsaishnavi Sharma picked up three wickets while the Indian side was helped by a couple of run-outs. But, an explosive batting performance from Gongadi Trisha who scored 40 runs handed India a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Bangladesh. India, topping the group 1 of the Super Six qualifies for the semifinal.  

Captain Niki Prasad came to bat after Gongadi Trosha got out in the closing moments of the run chase. the Captain smashed a boundary to finish the game and seal victory for the Indian side.  

Fifty up for India! it took just six overs to reach the 50-run mark for India. With just 15 needed from 14 overs the side is in complete control at the moment. Gongadi Trisha and Sanika Chalke have dismantled the opposition with two-three boundaries in an over.

India U19 Women's side is off to a flying start. led by its explosive batter Gongadi Trisha. The opener already has smashed four boundaries in the first two overs - three more than the whole Bangladesh side.  India is looking to win the match early and can go on the top of the the Super Six points table with superior net run rate. 

Captain Sumaiya Akhter started for the Bangladesh side, who at one point were struggling to reach a 50-run mark, set a target of 65 runs. The Indian bowling side will be pleased with the performance with Vaishnavi Sharma's three-wicket haul and couple of run-outs keeping the opposition in check. 

Vaishnavi Sharma not only broke the partnership between Sumaiya Akhter and Jannatul Maoua but dismissed both set batters. This puts India back into the during seat in the game and can now hope to restrict the opposition below 75 runs.

A good recovery from the Bangladesh side as captain Sumaiya Akhter and Jannatul Maoua formed a 23-run partnership handing a side to get to a respectable total. But with strong batting lineup, India wont mind a targer close to 100.

Out! Bangladesh lost its fifth wicket in an unfortunate manner. A mix-up in the middle between Afia Ashima and Jannatul Maoua cost the wicketkeeper her wicket. India once again with quick wickets looking to wrapup the innings as early as possible. Afia Ashima runout 7 (22)  

After losing three quick wickets, Sumaiya Akter and Afia Ashima are trying to form a partnership, allowing the side to get back into the game. The Indian side is still on top at the moment and will look for more wickets.   

Out! The India U19 side is completely dominating the proceedings at the moment. In just three overs the side has picked up three wickets. After Sadia Islam's run-out, Fahomida Choya also departs with Joshitha VJ uprooting the stumps. Fahomida Choya b Joshitha VJ 2 (6)

After a brief break, players are on the field. India U19 team wins the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian side has been very dominant with the ball and will look to continue the trend. 

There is still no sign of captains on the field as umpires are yet to signal 'go ahead' for the match. The wait continues for the toss until further update. 

India U19 women's side has won all three group-stage matches so far in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 and will play its first Super Six fixture against Group D second-place Bangladesh side. While the umpires are looking at the conditions, the toss for the India U19 Women's vs Bangladesh U19 Women's match is delayed.
