The move to update Nepal’s new map with a stretch of land high in the mountains which India claims as its own has garnered momentum. The ruling Left alliance moved a constitution amendment bill on May 31. The opposition Nepali Congress has said it would vote in favour of the amendment. In Nepal, it usually takes a month to pass a constitution amendment bill.
