Rajendra Singh of Alwar district of Rajasthan is rightly known as the ‘Waterman of India’. He was born on August 6, 1959, in Bagpat district of Uttar Pradesh. It is his efforts towards water conservation that earned him several accolades. His efforts ensured that his village was water sufficient which lie in semi-arid areas close to the Thar Desert.
