Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 16 (ANI): Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday called on Union Minister for Power and Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar in the national capital and discussed the issues of the state pending with the Ministry.

He sought the intervention of the Union Minister to restore the rights of the Shanan Power Project to the state as the lease period has expired and to take a decision for an amicable solution on the matter, stated an official release.

He also requested him to release the pending share due from the BBMB which has been awaited for many years and causing losses to the state. The Chief Minister also requested support for the mega solar park in Spiti.

The Union Minister assured of looking into the issues and directed the officers to take necessary steps.

Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Ram Subhag Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Devesh Kumar, Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty and Senior officers of the Ministry were present in the meeting. (ANI)
