Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 24 (ANI): A idol of Lord Hanuman was found damaged near Pattikonda town in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

Pattikonda Circle Inspector Adinarayana Reddy said, "A Hanuman idol was erected more than a year ago at the outskirts of the Pattikonda town nearby national highway."

"Late on Tuesday night, some unidentified miscreants broke the idol, removed it from its place and threw it away nearby. There are no CCTV cameras in the area. We checked the footage in CCTV cameras at some distance, but it is of no use," he added.

A case has been filed under section 295, 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code and an investigation is underway. (ANI)
