Fazilka (Punjab) [India], April 24 (ANI): Border Security Force troops in collaboration with Punjab Police apprehended three smugglers Tuesday and later on recovered two packets of suspected heroin weighing 500 grams each in Fazilka district, said BSF in a statement.
A search operation was based on specific information from the BSF intelligence wing and a depth Naka in the outskirts of border village Natha Singh Wala of Fazilka district targeting suspected drug smugglers.
The coordinated efforts culminated in the apprehension of three smugglers who had a history of involvement in narcotics smuggling. Both the packets were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and metal rings were found attached to them.
Questioning of the apprehended persons revealed some crucial information about the location of the narcotics consignment. (ANI)
