Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], November 11 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has passed an order making identity cards compulsory for employees while entering the Secretariat building.

"Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued an order directing that all the officers/employees working in the Secretariat have been provided identity cards by the Uttarakhand government and each employee will enter the Secretariat only after wearing their identity card, said an official statement from state government on Monday.

The step was taken to prevent unwanted entry to the premises of the secretariat.

"The Chief Secretary said in her order that the purpose of issuing the identity card is to easily identify the secretariat security personnel at the time of entering the secretariat premises and to prevent unwanted entry," added the official statement.

The Chief Secretary has said in the order that it has often been observed that for a long time, most of the officers and employees are not wearing their official identity cards due to which unwanted persons are also entering the secretariat. (ANI)
