Mumbai, Aug 14 (PTI) Amid the war for deposits, private sector lender Federal Bank on Monday announced a hike in deposit rates.
According to a statement, savings bank accounts can fetch interest of up to 7.15 per cent, while a term deposit for a tenure of 13 months would fetch interest rates of 7.30 per cent for the general category.

*** Shaadi.com to upskill 10,000 women * Matchmaking platform Shaadi.com on Monday said through its CSR arm Shaadi.org, the company will upskill up to 10,000 women over a period of five years.
On the occasion of Independence Day, Shaadi.org is furthering the cause of financial autonomy for women by pledging monetary support to NGO Udayan Care's Udayan Shalini Fellowship Programme, according to a company statement.
"Udayan Care's Shalini programme will help us further realise our vision of promoting initiatives that provide livelihoods and opportunities to women as well as positively influencing the mindsets of Indians for building a more equal nation and a world at large," Shaadi.com VP - Marketing Adhish Zaveri said.
Udayan Care Executive Director Anjali Hegde said that the Udayan Shalini Fellowship Programme is aimed at building agency and social capital amongst young women.
