Mumbai, December 29: With just two days left until the December 31, 2025, deadline for "ladki bahin eKYC" under Maharashtra's Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana ends, millions of women beneficiaries face uncertainty over their monthly INR 1,500 aid. The verification process, aimed at weeding out ineligible beneficiaries of "Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin" or Ladki Bahin yojana, has seen extensions but shows no signs of further delays, according to state minister Aditi Tatkare. In a post on X, the Minister for Women and Child Development said that the last date to complete e-KYC is Wednesday, December 31. "To ensure the uninterrupted continuation of the benefits under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, it is absolutely essential to complete the E-KYC process. The final deadline for this is December 31, 2025," Aditi Tatkare's post in Marathi read.

The eKYC via Aadhaar has been made mandatory for women beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana in the state. The e-KYC process ensures transparency by verifying identities and preventing fraud, as ineligible individuals had accessed funds in the past. The process began on September 18, with an initial November 18 deadline, which was later extended to December 31. Steps To Complete Ladki Bahin E-KYC
- Visit the official website of Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in
- Select the e-KYC option link on the homepage
- Enter using your Aadhaar number and captcha
- Re-upload the required documents, including name, address, ration card details, income proof, and Aadhaar information
- Review the details carefully
- Click on "Submit" to complete the e-KYC for Ladki Bahin yojana
In her post, Aditi Tatkare also asked women beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin scheme to complete the e-KYC process as soon as possible as the December 31 deadline nears. Meanwhile, the November and December instalments of the Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme remain pending for many due to incomplete verifications and local body election codes. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has indicated combined payments post-deadline. It is reported that women beneficiaries could receive the November and December instalments along with January next month. However, official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
