A waitress from Georgia has made to it international headlines for hitting a customer who groped her. CCTV footage of the incident shows a man grabbing her butt as he walked past. Emelia Holden who turned to find an unknown man slammed him to the floor of the restaurant holding him by the arm. The 21-year-old was sorting through a pile of menus when the man on his way out of the restaurant groped her. The incident happened at Vinnie Van Go-Go's in Savannah, Georgia.
The man identified as Ryan Cherwinski, father of two, was with his partner Erica Martin at the restaurant when he groped Holden. She said that at first, she thought it was a friend who was grabbing her as a joke but was shocked to find out it was a customer. Holden pushed him to the ground and asked her colleagues to call the cops after which the police came and arrested him.
Holden told The People, "When I felt that happen, my first thought was that it was one of my friends … it was a really intimate touch. His hand went further than it should have so I was thinking, 'There's no way a stranger just did that.' " A Savannah Police Department spokeswoman told The People that he was arrested with sexual molestation charges.

She said, "The guy claimed that he was just trying to push me out of the way." The police arrested him immediately after they saw the video. She further said, "I'm not glad that it happened, but I’m glad that it’s had such a positive outcome. I'm glad that other women can see this and know that you can stand up for yourself. You also have the right to wear whatever you want without having to worry about being groped. She said that she received many messages on social media praising her for instant reaction.
