The Union Cabinet on Tuesday is reportedly said to have approved an additional subsidy of Rs 200 under the Ujjwala scheme. The additional subsidy will decrease domestic LPG prices by Rs 200 per cylinder. The official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made on Raksha Bandhan. It must be noted that earlier in March, the Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved a subsidy of Rs 200 per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 12 refills per year. This benefit was to be provided to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Announces LPG Cylinders For Rs 450 During Sawan Month (Watch Video).
