That's It! Sri Lanka never got back into the game after Mohammad Nawaz and Husain Talat shifted momentum by taking on Wanindu Hasaranga. They kept playing their shots and once Wanindu Hasaranga went for runs, the fate of the game was decided. In the end, Pakistan secured a comfortable victory and Sri Lanka are out of the race for the final. They can win one game while two of Pakistan or Bangladesh or India will definitely get to two wins. Pakistan survive for the time. 

Two solid offers for Pakistan and Mohammad Nawaz and Hussain Talat has been able to shift the momentum in their faovur. Two boundaries against Wanindu Hasaranga and that has released the pressure that was building up on Pakistan. Sri Lanka need something miraculous to change things here. 

Out! What a bowling change from Charith Asalanka. Dushmantha Chameera strikes in his first ball in the second spell. Short of length ball nips in, Mohammad Haris gets his bat to the ball but the ball ricochets to the stumps knocking it over. Haris was looking good and it is a big wicket for Sri Lanka. Mohammad Haris b Chameera 13(11). 

Out! Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha departs. Wanindu Hasaranga bowls him a googly, Salman doesn't pick it and ended up playing around it. Gets hit flush on the pads and the Umpire had no problems in rising the finger. Salman opted for DRS but it was not enough to save him. Saim Ayub b Hasaranga 2(3).

Out! Wanindu Hasaranga gives it back to Abrar Ahmed. Hasaranga joined the attack, bowled a googly and Saim Ayub ended up playing for the leg break, only for the ball to sneak through take his off-stump along with it. Ayub's bad patch continues but on the other hand, Hasaranga gave him a send-off and a reply to Abrar Ahmed by mimicking Abrar's celebration. Fakhar Zaman c Hasaranga b Theekshana 17(19).

Out! Two wickets in the same over. Sri Lanka find some success towards the end of the powerplay and they find a ray of hope as well. The powerplay was going out of their hand and it is when Maheesh Theekshana struck twice. Sahibzada Farhan was looking good and he tried to loft Theekshana over the mid-off, only to find the fielder.  In the fourth delivery of the over, Zaman makes room and does not get under the ball to get the elevation, hits it flat towards mid-off and the ball was dying, Hasaranga moves to his right and dives to scoop it with his right-hand. Fakhar Zaman c Hasaranga b Theekshana 17(19) and  Sahibzada Farhan c Kamindu Mendis b Theekshana 24(15).

Pakistan have got off to a good start in the first three overs. They have not looked troubled in front of the Sri Lankan seamers and have made sure the bad balls go for boundary. Sri Lanka know they have a low total on board and they will have to get a breakthrough soon. 

Solid bowling performance from Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hussain Talat as the seam trio share seven wickets among themselves and restricted Sri Lanka to a total which Charith Asalanka's side will not be very happy with. Shaheen and Haris delivered wickets upfront and also bowled tight death overs and didn't allow Sri Lanka get away. 

Out! Failed attempt to get a big shot and Dushmantha Chameera departs. Tries to hit a pace on delivery from Haris Rauf down the ground but the ball doesn't get enough distance. Out! Kamindu Mendis departs but he has done a sensational task for Sri Lanka and took them nearer to a competitive score. He completed his half-century and was aiming to give Sri Lanka a strong finish but it was not to be as Shaheen Shah Afridi traps him LBW. Initially it seemed like the ball was going down leg, but in the end the DRS replay showed three reds. Kamindu Mendis lbw b Shaheen Afridi 50(44).

Despite losing six wickets for just 80 runs, Kamindu Mendis and Charith Asalanka has attempted to stitch a partnership and continue resistance so that they can help Sri Lanka get to a competitive score where the bowlers have something to bowl at. They continue in pursuit of it. 

Out! Wanindu Hasaranga departs. Abrar Ahmed cleans him up and Sri Lanka sink into deeper trouble. It was a little flighted up delivery, Hasaranga went for the slog but ended up getting beaten by the dip and got cleaned up. Abrar Ahmed celebrated with the 'Wanindu Hasaranga celebration' after dismissing Hasaranga. Sri Lanka have an uphill task in their hand now. Hasaranga b Abrar Ahmed 15(13).

Out! Another wicket in the next ball and Sri Lanka have lost half their side now for absolutely nothing. It is Hussain Talat who has provided two wickets in two balls and turned the game totally towards Pakistan. Talat bowls a slower one on the off-side line, Dasun Shanaka goes for a punch and gets a nick which travels easily to the hands of the wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris. Shanaka c Mohammad Haris b Hussain Talat 0(1).

Out! Haris Rauf strikes in his first over and Sri Lanka are in trouble here. A soft dismissal, and Kusal Perera departs for 15 runs. Kusal Perera has joined forces with Pathum Nissanka. The ball is swinging, and Pakistan will look to get more wickets in the first powerplay. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will want both these batters to stitch a solid stand for the second wicket.
