In the end, Pakistan secured a comfortable victory and Sri Lanka are out of the race for the final. They can win one game while two of Pakistan or Bangladesh or India will definitely get to two wins. Pakistan survive for the time.

Hasaranga joined the attack, bowled a googly and Saim Ayub ended up playing for the leg break, only for the ball to sneak through take his off-stump along with it. Out! Two wickets in the same over. Sri Lanka find some success towards the end of the powerplay and they find a ray of hope as well. The powerplay was going out of their hand and it is when Maheesh Theekshana struck twice.
