New Delhi [India], Nov 17 (ANI): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Saturday appointed Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) CEO Ajay Bhushan Pandey as the new revenue secretary.

Pandey will succeed current Finance and Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia, who is retiring on November 30.

Pandey, a 1984 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Maharashtra cadre also holds the post of Chairman of Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN).

In another secretary appointment, Girish Chandra Murmu is appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Department of Expenditure. He will take charge as Secretary after the retirement of current Expenditure Secretary AN Jha.

Girish, a 1985 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre is currently serving as special secretary in the revenue department. (ANI)
