Ahmedabad, Jun 30 (PTI) Ahmedabad on Tuesday reported 197 new coronavirus cases, taking the count in the district to 20,913, while nine more patients succumbed to the infection, the Gujarat health department said.

The district reportedthe death of nine COVID-19 patients, taking the toll to 1,441, it said in a release.

At the same time, 137 more coronavirus patients recovered from the disease in the worst-hit Gujarat district, taking the number of such cases to 15,968.

Out of the total 197 cases, as many as 183 were reported from withinAhmedabad corporation limits and 14 from the other parts of the district, the release said.
