Patna, Feb 3 (PTI) Bihar on Thursday registered 655 fresh Covid-19 cases, 144 less than the previous day's figure, and four fresh fatalities, a bulletin issued by the state health department stated.

The state's overall infection tally jumped to 8,26,078, while the death toll increased to 12,230,

The bulletin said the number of active cases is 3,390 now.

Of the 655 new cases, 64 were reported from Patna alone. On Wednesday, the state capital had logged 228 fresh cases.

Altogether 81,04,58 people have recuperated from the disease so far, including 1,013 in the last 24 hours.

The four fresh fatalities were reported from Patna, Saran and Vaishali districts.

Altogether 6.60 crore samples have been tested so far, including 1.45 lakh in the last 24 hours, the bulletin said.
