Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 27 (ANI): Heavy rain lashed Mumbai city on Sunday amid an alert by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) which had stated in a tweet earlier in that day that moderate rain might occur in the city at one or two places.
"Moderate rain in Mumbai city and suburbs with heavy rain at one or two places. High Tide - 0903 hours - 3.60 Meter Low Tide - 1500 hours - 2.37 Meter High Tide - 2038 hours - 3.10Meter Low Tide - (Next Day - 28.08.2023) 0251 hours - 1.00 Meter," the BMC wrote in a message on X.
Meanwhile, the average rainfall received in the Mumbai Metropolitan area on Saturday was 17.70 millimetres.
"The average rainfall in Mumbai Metropolitan yesterday (26 .08.2023), from 8 am to today (27.08.2023) 8 am is: Mumbai City- 17.70 mm. Eastern Suburbs- 21.09 mm. Western Suburbs- 14.21 mm." the civic body wrote in a message on X.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts on Sunday. (ANI)
