Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 2 (ANI): A 55-year-old man was killed in a fire that broke out at a residential building in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on Wednesday evening, police said.

According to officials, the incident took place at Juni Indore area.

Four to five people were rescued from the upper floor of the building.

The initial cause of the fire is said to be an electrical short circuit.

DCP Rishikesh Meena said, "4 to 5 people have been rescued from the first floor of the building."

"The fire has been brought under control. The initial cause of the fire is short circuit. We are further looking into it," he added.
