Narayanpet (Telangana) [India], July 25 (ANI): In a big campaign against corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Telangana on Thursday apprehended G. Balraj, a surveyor at the Tahsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar office in Makthal Mandal, Narayanpet District while accepting a bribe of Rs 9,000.
According to the ACB, Balraj was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from complainant, Esari Shravan Kumar. The surveyor demanded the bribe to draft the land survey panchanamma report of the complainant's father-in-law and submit the same to the Tahsildar.
The tainted money (Rs 9000) was recovered from Balraj's possession and chemical tests confirmed his involvement.
The accused officer was arrested and produced before the Ist Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court in Nampally, Hyderabad, said ACB.
