Bengaluru [India], July 6 (ANI): Indian defender Rupinder Pal Singh emerged a hero as his hat-trick gave the India A Men's Hockey Team a 5-1 victory against Bangladesh in the final practice match played at the Sports Authority of India, Bengaluru Campus.

The experienced drag-flicker scored three goals in the 24th, 47th and 60th minutes, giving the team a 1-0 lead in the second quarter after Bangladesh had made a good start that kept India 'A' from scoring in the first quarter.

Gurjinder Singh followed Pal Singh and scored a goal in the 27th minute. The other goal scorer for India 'A' was Vikas Dahiya, who opted to play as a forward instead of a goalkeeper in today's match.

For Bangladesh, Mohammad Ashraful Islam scored the team's lone goal through a penalty corner in the 53rd minute. (ANI)
