Lucknow, Aug 7 (PTI) Several parts of Uttar Pradesh received rainfall on Wednesday, with Sultanpur recording the maximum temperature at 36.8 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department said.

Lucknow received 32.6 mm rainfall, followed by Fursatganj received 27.6 mm rain, Sultanpur 18 mm, Jhansi 7.2 mm and Kanpur 8.1 mm, it said.

The MeT said state capital Lucknow recorded temperature at 34.3 degrees Celsius.

It has forecast rain or thundershowers at a few places over the state on Thursday.

The weatherman said rain or thundershowers are very likely at a few places over eastern and western Uttar Pradesh on Friday and Saturday.
