Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 5 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the family of the eight-year-old girl who was raped in Mandsaur district recently.
Speaking to reporters outside Maharaja Yeshwantrao (MY) Hospital here, Shivraj reiterated that the accused should be hanged to death at the earliest.
"I am happy with the progress of the young girl's medical treatment. She is Madhya Pradesh's daughter, and hence the government will bear the cost of her education. I want the accused to be executed at the earliest. They do not deserve to live after this heinous act," he added.
On June 28, the eight-year-old girl was abducted from her school in Hafiz Colony and raped by an unidentified person before being abandoned at a secluded place in Mandsaur.
Following the incident, two persons, namely Irfan and Asif, were arrested.
