After Tanushree Dutta came forward with explosive allegations of sexual misconduct against Nana Patekar, many women came forward and shared their horrifying incidents too. On Tuesday, another woman, who is a flight attendant, alleged that singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya sexually harassed her (in 1998). The incident took place 20 years ago at a pub in Kolkata. She narrated the details through a social media post. However, when Indian Express reached out to the singer with regards to the allegations levelled against him, he refuted the allegations and said, "I wasn’t born at that time."
Abhijeet, who has been accused of harassment by many women, told the portal, "Somebody told me over the call. I was not born at that time. I have never gone to pubs in my life. You’ll never find me at any page 3 or filmy parties. My name sells. If someone’s benefiting from it, good. Sometimes earning their bread and butter with my name, it’s fine." Making a derogatory remark against women, Abhijeet further added, "I don’t know against whom should I take action. Why should I give attention to that person? You are giving it importance not me. Most of the people who are coming out right now are dirty, ugly people. Koi mota hai koi patla hai. No one deserves (the attention). Just to grab some attention they are coming out. Most of the fat and ugly girls are blaming and I wasn’t born at that time." Recently, Times Now contacted the controversial singer with regards to his derogatory statement against women. To this, Abhijeet had a bizarre reply.
