Looks like gossip mongers are back to working and that too very hard. Death hoax rumours are not new to Bollywood celebrities. Every few months, there are rumours of how a certain celebrity has passed away or is very ill and on his/ her death bed, which then the celebrity in question has to clarify. In the past, names like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, Dilip Kumar, Farida Dalal, Sonali Bendre and even television celebrity Shweta Tiwari were rumoured to have passed away. Sonali Bendre Health Update: Husband Goldie Behl Slams Actress' Death Hoax, Says Don't Believe in Rumours
And the latest to join the bandwagon of celebrities rumoured to being very ill is singer Lata Mangeshkar. The 89 year old singer was said to be very ill and hospitalized.
Certain reports doing the rounds claimed that Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai where she was battling a severe illness. However, as soon as the singer came across this news, she quickly tweeted that she was fine and assured her fans.
Lata tweeted:
Namaskar. Meri sehat ke baare mein kuch afwaahein uth rahi hain Lekin aap in par vishwas na karein. Main bilkul swasth hun aur apne ghar mein hun.

While the singer’s tweet has put her fans’ anxiety to rest, unfortunately, such fake news always finds takers on social media and goes viral. And the only way to stop is by not sharing the news until and unless the concerned person or his/ her verified associates/confidantes confirm or deny the news.
