New Delhi, December 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold press conferences at 70 locations across the nation on Monday, December 17, to "expose Congress" for plotting conspiracy against Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central government and "messing with country's defence on the Rafale issue", said the BJP.  Full Text of Rafale Deal Verdict by Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court on Friday, December 14, dismissed all the writ petitions which sought a Supreme Court-monitored probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the pricing of Rafale deal. The court said it did not find any substantial material on record to show that this is a case of commercial favoritism to any party by the Government of India. The bench, also comprising Justices K. M. Joseph and Sanjay Kishan Kaul, said the required process has been followed.

The BJP has been proclaiming the Supreme Court's judgment as  a clean chit from the top court in the Rafale deal case. Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, supported Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge 's accusation that the Attorney General and Comptroller and Auditor General presented wrong facts in the Rafale deal in Supreme Court.

Following which, the Central government on Saturday filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court "seeking factual corrections" in its verdict. The government has also served a copy of the affidavit to all the petitioners in the Rafale deal case, reported news agency ANI. The government in the affidavit mentioned that the top court "misinterpreted" the government's earlier affidavit which led to the Supreme Court ruling that the deal's pricing were checked by the CAG and Public Accounts Committee (PAC). But the government informed the court that the deal is yet to be examined by the PAC, said the government.
