Hyderabad, July 6 (PTI): Telangana registered a 19.83 per cent growth inrevenue collections during the first quarter of the 2018-19 fiscal, an official release said.

"The Chief Minister was informed that the state has achieved 19.83 percent growth in revenue collection during the first quarter of 2018-19 financial year," it said.

In the last four financial years, Telangana registered the highest revenue growth in the country and it was a positive dimension for the state as the growth was continuing even in 2018-19, the release said.

In the first quarter of the 2017-18 fiscal, the state achieved revenue of Rs 13,374.25 crore, while during the same period in 2018-19 fiscal, revenue was Rs 16,026.63 crore, it said.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also said that from that from next academic year 119 BC Residential schools in addition to the existing ones would be started at the rate one for each assembly segment in the state.
